If you know me, you know I’m always on the go. Somehow, I keep piling more onto the never-ending to-do list. I live for the hustle. I love the hustle. But sometimes, there’s no better medicine than putting on your best denim skirt, doing your hair, and tipping one back with your girls.
There’s just something about girl time that resets your soul. Whether it's a weekend getaway or a spur-of-the-moment night out, that time is sacred. No schedules, no expectations... just music, laughter, and your crew that’s seen you through every season of life.
This summer has been slammed with work: goals, deadlines, late nights in the store, the whole nine yards. But a recent night out, dancing to Kip Moore and Shania (and yes, screaming every word) reminded me how much I need this. Throw in Ian Munsick, and I swear my heart grew three sizes that night. There’s something about live music, your favorite gals, and good vibes that reminds you who you are outside of all your titles.
And here’s the thing, it doesn’t have to be a big, fancy “girls weekend.” Sometimes, it’s sitting on the porch with a cup of coffee, catching up while the kids run wild before practice, it’s a walk, or running into each other at Costco for a quick gab sesh. But when you can make the stars align for a real night out? Go. Say yes. Dance, laugh until you cry, and leave the mom guilt at home with the frozen pizza.
Because those girls, (the ones who’ve known forever, the new ones who just get you, and the ride-or-dies who’ve seen you at your best and worst) they’re the kind of people who remind you what life’s about. We all have those never-ending group chats full of "We need to plan something soon!"… well, do it. Make it happen. Hit the “buy” button on the concert tickets, make the dinner reservation, load up the SUV for a road trip. Bring those group messages to life.
Because your soul needs it. You need it. And your girls probably do too.
So here’s your reminder from me: go be with your people. Laugh loud. Dance hard. Let loose. Let your hair down. You work so dang hard, and you deserve a break that fills your cup back up.
Love your girl gang. And don’t forget to wear the cute boots.
