It marks FOUR years since I officially launched SRM Custom Art & Design—and wow, what a wild, creative, humbling ride it’s been.
To celebrate, I brought back the OG that started it all: the design that first launched in 2021, sold out twice, and gave me the confidence to chase the dream of turning my sketchbook into something wearable. That very first tee was more than just a design—it was a sign. A spark. The beginning of something I didn’t even realize I needed in my life.
So here we are, full circle, with the 4-Year Anniversary Design—a nod to the one that started it all. Where did this design come from, you ask?
It all started when I shared a picture of a bull drawing I was working on. The response was wild—it got so much attention, and it made me realize I could lean in and embrace the fact that I have a real art degree (crazy, right?). The original photo was actually taken by Tim—he literally laid on the ground, pissed off a bull, and snapped the shot. So props to him! The picture used to hang in my house, but now you can see it on the wall at the store—just a little memory and motivation from where SRM truly began.
Back when I was dodging bulls more than deadlines, I’d always yell things like, “Come at me, bruh!” or “Get outta the way, bruh!” (But let’s be real—if one actually came at me, I’d probably pee my pants.) I ended up taking that photo and putting it on a tan t-shirt and an army green hoodie.
Over the years, I’ve had so many requests to bring that design back, but I always held off—until now. My cutie-pie niece was helping me one day and suggested I make a skeleton bull. I was like, YEAH! So, I took the original bull and gave it a glow-up for this year’s anniversary design.
It’s different from the OG because I now design on my iPad using new software, and I launched it on oversized, extra heavy-weight tees and hoodies—because quality matters. These bad boyz are live for preorder on the website. So come at me, bruh—let’s hit this baby one more time!
But SRM hasn’t just given me a creative outlet—it’s taught me a lot. Like, life-lessons-in-a-tee kinda stuff.
Here are two of the biggest things I’ve learned in the past four years:
1. If it doesn’t feel right, it’s not right.
Whether it’s a design, a client, or a business opportunity—if I’m not 100% in from the start, it never works out how I hoped. I’ve learned to trust my gut. If something doesn’t light me up or bring peace, it’s a no. And saying no is powerful.
2. I’m capable of way more than I thought.
I didn’t grow up thinking I’d run a business, design apparel, or press tees until midnight. But here I am. SRM has shown me that when you’re aligned with your passion, purpose follows. And when those two things match up? The sky isn't even the limit.
So, cheers to 4 years of creating what I love, western alternative style, and staying true to what feels right. The new anniversary apparel are live now—and it’s some serious full-circle magic.
