Holy smokes, y’all! I think the last SRM Smithy update I shared was when we moved all the equipment into the studio and set up the office and temporary boutique. We are still working out of that space, but so much has happened since then!
I’m still fulfilling orders, creating new designs, and selling merch from the temporary boutique ALL in the studio. Meanwhile, on the other side of the wall, the future SRM Smithy storefront, office, and bathroom are officially being framed in!
It is looking SO good!
Every time I walk into the future store, I can picture SRM Smithy up and rolling. I can imagine the merchandise on display, customers walking through the doors, and this dream finally coming to life. I literally cannot wait!
We also have NEW WINDOWS, and they are a complete game changer. The entire store feels so much brighter and more open. It is finally starting to look like the space I have pictured in my head for so long.
Sometimes I get so wrapped up in the chaos of life, work, and everyday responsibilities that I forget how far this building has come since I signed those papers. My mind is always moving from point A to point B, but life and construction do not exactly work that way. Duh, Hayls!
Getting SRM Smithy to where it is today has already been an adventure. I recently looked back at the videos from the first time I unlocked the doors to this “new-to-me” building, and my oh my, it has truly come a long way! I had almost forgotten about all the cleaning we had to do just to find the floors.
There is still plenty of work ahead, but things are changing every day. Sometimes I need someone to pinch me and remind me to look around and take it all in.
Your girl is chasing her dreams, and little by little, the results are starting to show. AND I love it!
