Shoot Dang, Another New Design!

Shoot Dang, Another New Design!

Yup, your art nerd can’t stop, won’t stop creating new designs.

Okay, y’all. I have one million and two things on my plate between holiday prep, SPORTS, work, mommin’, living, and designing. And somehow, my brain keeps saying, “You know what we should do? Add another design.”

So here we are. Meet Shoot Dang, the newest design in progress over here at SRM!

I wanted to create one more design this year with something for everyone who enjoys SRM. Something that featured the Western lifestyle with an SRM spin.

This is the first sketch of Shoot Dang, inspired by my friend Jo Radtke, who just opened an awesome coffee shop in Drummond. Her husband wanted a shirt that said “Shoot Dang,” and it felt like something I could work with!

I’m combining elements from an old Western movie poster and a Marlboro advertisement for this design. My plan is to add a little background to this pen drawing, then transfer it to my computer to add the text.

I’m still deciding if I want to add color and put the main design on the front or back. That placement usually changes who gravitates toward a shirt, so I’d love to hear from the guys and gals on this one!

I do have the shirts picked out! An oversized, vintage denim-washed T-shirt and an ash gray crewneck.

Chime in! Each comment will count as an entry in an SRM Gift Basket giveaway.

  1. Should I leave it a single-color pen drawing or add color?
  2. Should the main design go on the front or back?

The gift basket will include a cute Western coffee glass with a straw and a $50 SRM gift card!

Love this sketch!! I say no color and put it on the back, but I’ll love it no matter what you decide.

Front no color for me…but then you’ll come out with back and color and I’ll be like “that is awesome!” Can’t wait to see what you create!

I can’t decide if it needs color without seeing. So undecided on that. It’s a front design for me. Can’t wait to see it.

I think single color on the front! This is gonna look so good on a vintage shirt! Love it!!

Definitely on the back. With a denim colored tee, maybe a bronze color?
